What Do We Do?

Amongst other things we are involved in:

Church Services - Sunday morning church services normally at 10.30am in The King's Church Thornton Centre.  Our services are lively, informal and friendly with separate activities for children and young people.

Sunday morning talks are usually recorded - if you would like to download these talks you can subscribe to this service by following this link.

The Grapevine - we produce a weekly bulletin of church activities which is available in church each week.  If you would like to receive a copy by email please subscribe using this link.

TiE Groups  - meeting through the week in members' homes throughout the area.

Alpha Courses - discovery courses to find out about the Christian faith.

Parenting Programmes - help for parents in bringing up their children.

Children's Work - Sunday morning children's groups (part of our Sunday morning service) and termly events called Xtreme Kidz.

Youth Work - Sunday morning youth group for Senior school aged young people (part of our Sunday morning service) and Sunday night activities.

Drop-In - weekly opportunities to call in and have a coffee and a chat.

Inter-Church Services and Activities - We work closely with churches in our immediate locality and churches across the Mersey Region through Together for the Harvest (tfh).

Lunch Club - Meets Thursdays from 12 noon to 2pm in the Thornton Centre - open to anyone who would like to meet others and and enjoy a meal.  Food is served at 12 noon - there is a small charge of £2.

Visitation - visitation of elderly, sick and housebound.

Schools - Weekly assemblies in Thornton schools, special presentations at Easter and Christmas and weekly involvement with Senior school students through Lunch Club.
